Science of Kissing at SCI Kiss. Smooch. Peck. There is more to the simple act of kissing than you might think. Drawing upon science, history and pop culture, the Science of Kissing is everything you always wanted to know about kissing but haven't asked, couldn't find out or didn't realize you should understand. Living History Farms Spirits & Sweets Pair one-of-a-kind mini martinis mixed by Iowa artisan distillers with bite-sized sweet treats created by local bakeries. Mingle and nosh as you visit with distillers about the process of making spirits with Iowa corn, and don't forget to stop by the olive bar provided by Gateway Market. Other partners include Templeton Rye, Cedar Ridge Distillery, Crème Cupcakes, El Patio, Mississippi River Distilling Company and Sweet Binney’s. Habitat Young Professionals & Bella Soul will host Deacon’s Day VI on Feb. 11, a concert to benefit the Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity. Join us to hear artists from the thriving local music scene in Des Moines, and help a great cause. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $15 ahead of time and $20 at the door.
