Regus Behind the Scenes Happy Hour

American Diabetes Association - Featured Non Profit

YPs will have the opportunity to support diabetes research and awareness through volunteerism at the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure.

Volunteering roles include, but are not limited to: Set up, Sign posting, Registration, Hospitality, Parking, Photography, Finish Line Cheerleaders, Errand Runner, Massage Provider, and Tear-down and Clean up.

The games begin at 1:30 so plan ahead. As always, we will be collecting items for a worthwhile Central Iowa charity. American Heart Association - Heart Walk - Volunteering

The Charitable Committee is proud to support the American Heart Association's efforts to raise money for research and awareness of heart disease...the #1 killer of both men and women in the United States.

The 2013 Des Moines Heart Walk at the State Capitol is our "mission in action." Through the Heart Walk, we create opportunities for people to improve their health by walking and simultaneously raise funds to help fight heart disease and stroke. The Heart Walk is a wellness event that encourages healthy lifestyle choices.

Courage League Sports - Fun 5K - Volunteering

Courage League Sports is hosting their 1st Annual Courage Run, a fundraiser to support the belief that every child gets to play. All ages, all abilities are welcome!

The 5K will start and finish on the Waukee High School track. A free kids 400 meter and 100 meter run will follow the 5K. Volunteers are needed in a variety of roles from: Set up / sign-postings / finish-line cheer squad, etc.

Courage league sports is a recreational adaptive sports facility specifically designed for children not able to go “full speed” due to disability,illness, or emotional challenges. Our programs provide an opportunity to play in sports leagues, participate in group classes or play around during open gym nights at everyone’s own skill level. We strive to ensure a positive recreational experience for all children and their families. We will encourage participants to have fun while exercising outside of a therapy atmosphere.

YPC Mentors and Mulligans Golf Outing

Join Des Moines area leaders and your fellow YPs in the 2nd annual Mentors and Mulligans Golf Outing at Echo Valley Country Club on Wednesday, July 18th. The 9-hole event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with check-in, dinner, and introductions. The four person (three YPs and one Mentor) best shot outing will begin with a shotgun start at 5:30 p.m. This is a FUN golf outing, so all levels of golfers are welcome. $45 includes 9 holes of golf, cart, dinner, a donation to Mentor Iowa, and the chance to network with YPC members and local leaders.

Hole Sponsorship is available! Sponsorship's are a $50 donation plus a giveaway of $50 value. Sponsors will have the opportunity to place items in participant swag bags, sit at their sponsored hole, and signage at the event . YPC members are welcome and encouraged to be sponsors.
